An Update!

Posted in Perfect Days, Personal Development.

I’ve a quick update to share with you.

I remember that for many, many years, I found myself feeling I was in the ‘wrong’ job.  One friend even described me as a pinball machine!  Always trying new things and always seeking something that make my heart sing.  Have you ever felt like that?  Something always told me that I was happiest when I was working with women, empowering them to step up and go for it (I spent years in the recruitment industry)!

Now, I know as a womens life coach and mentor, nothing gives me a greater feeling than witnessing my clients own transformations; it’s just the best feeling and I feel so privilaged to work with my clients.  If you’re still struggling to find your ‘thing’ let me know, I maybe able to support you with that!

As with all things creative, my business is organic, it’s taking it’s own shape.  I want to let you know that I’ve chosen to drop the Daring Damsels branding and use my own name.  So my website will reflect this soon!  And Fab Friends Network will have it’s own unique site – and I can’t wait to share that with you!  Both will be launched very soon.

My vision a few years ago was to create a worldwide supportive network for women and I’m so excited that new Fab Friends Network groups will be opening early next year around the UK – reaching more ladies who want to feel more fabulous, who want more from life, who are ready to ignite their passions and belong to a peer group of supportive women who will encourage them to step up and go for it!

As you know, High Wycombe Fab Friends group, is soon to have a sister group Basingstoke Fab Friends, based in Sherfield on Loddon which launches this week – on Thursday 13th in the evening!  If your name isn’t on the guest list and would like to come along, there are still a few free places – just email me. Find more information at www.fabfriendsnetwork.com

Have you been to a Fab Friends meeting?  Watch this 2 minute video to see what 3 fabulous ladies said last week as they left the High Wycombe group they did make me giggle!

So that’s all for now, I just wanted to keep you in the loop!

Have a great week and I hope to speak with you soon.

Do send me an email or call me on 07702 591288 if you’d like more information or if I can support you on your life journey.

Wishing you happiness

What did past attendees say about this workshop?

Just wanted to say I have had my check up with my own doctor who read his notes on the computer then looked at me and said he couldn’t believe it was the same person, asked what I had been doing.  I said that I have been on a SELF ESTEEM course and I am trying really hard.  He said ‘well, it’s working’.  JB May ’10

In just a week from the from the Self Esteem workshop I feel more open and ready for the next challenge of self development that will make me happier and take back the control. I am looking forward to working with Ali in some coaching sessions.    LW March ‘10

Ali is very good at what she does and her friendly approachable manner immediately puts you at ease – great atmosphere and well worth the experience.   BC March ‘10

I felt that the workshop really helped me to see how I could boost my levels of self esteem and how I could become more positive in the whole of my life and really believe in myself.   AM March ‘10

I just wanted to say how lovely it was to meet you today, and that the workshop was absolutely brilliant! I found it so inspiring and felt full of hope for the first time in a very long while, thank you so much. All the other ladies were so warm and friendly too. I haven’t had such a good, positive morning in many, many years.  Thanks again.   TN Jan ’10

I felt uplifted at the end and didn’t want the workshop to be over.  I came away wanting more and feeling more positive about me! SC, Windsor Jan ’10

Ready to transform from Fed Up to Fabulous?

I hope you’ve had a lovely weekend and enjoyed the sunshine.  I spent my Saturday in Manchester with some of my coaching friends.   It’s the second time I’ve only been there and walking in heat I thought ‘It feels like I’m on holiday!’ how great is that?  I hope you’ve had some fun too.

The weekend is coming to an end now, the rain is falling and the new week is approaching fast – is your heart sinking knowing you’ve got to go back to work or be alone with the kids again, back to the routine?

I remember having that dreadful sinking feeling EVERY Sunday…

It was a lonely, stomach churning feeling.  I remember thinking ‘there must be more to life than this…’ but not knowing what that was.  Knowing it was within my grasp but not quite reaching it.

What did I want?  What do you want?

Do you ever think you’re ‘existing’ but not ‘living’?  Not sure what to do?  Not feeling fabulous or fulfilled?

I spend years trying to find the answers on my own – it just wasn’t happening and for me, my self esteem was on the floor – I was pretty fed up with being me and my life.

When you don’t know what you want, it’s hard to know where to focus.

I found support, re-designed my life by discovering my passion, raising my self esteem – and now everyday is a ‘jump out of bed’ day!

I was watching the repeat of Britain’s Got Talent this afternoon.  Christopher Stone, an accountant said from being a small child he knew he was a performer.  When he sings he knows he’s being who he really is.  Piers Morgan encouraged him to give up what he doesn’t enjoy and follow his passion – sharing his incredible voice with the world.

If this resonates with you and you know this is your time for change – you are ready to invest in your future, discover your ‘truth’, raise your self esteem, live life with a spring in your step, passion in your heart whilst feeling feminine and fabulous then I have just the thing for you.

Ok Ali, what is it?

I am ready and eager to support you!  I am SO excited to be offering FIVE ladies the opportunity of individually spending a day in June with me, at the fabulous price of £497. These special ‘Fed Up to Fabulous’ days will be face to face in the Buckinghamshire area.  If you are ready to commit, you will enjoy this life changing, magical day which will start at 10.00am and finish by 4.00pm.  There are selected week days and currently a few weekend dates available.

I have many skills up my sleeve to support you including coaching, mentoring, NLP, Time Line Therapy even Hypnosis and can offer an interest free payment plan to split the investment into two payments.  You’ll need to be quick to book as one place has just been booked!  Please go to www.daringdamsels.com and see the empowered words other clients have said after working with me.

Imagine this – it is July 2010 – it’s Sunday evening you are feeling relaxed – you can’t wait for tomorrow, as you are following your passion, ready to jump out of bed in the morning and feeling FABULOUS!  Is that good?

I’m ready to get started, are you?  If you would like one of the Fed Up to Fabulous days, please email me back without delay ali@daringdamsels.com.

Have a great week, wishing you love and happiness

Ali xx

Volcanic ash versus the travellers

Posted in Life Challenges, Personal Development, self esteem.

The news last week about the volcano and its billowing ash cloud was such a surprise to say the least.  Was there some warning that I missed?  It seemed that it sprung a surprise on the airlines and the passengers so quickly.  For the thousands of travellers who are not where they want to be it’s not only a frustrating time, it’s also an expensive one.

The stories I am reading on Facebook and hear from friends tell of cancelled holidays, workers who had gone abroad for meetings have been stranded abroad without extra clothing and essentials – desperate to return to loved ones, relatives who cannot get to weddings – weddings being postponed, elders who have run out of their medication, hours of queuing in line for a train tickets, even Witney Huston being forced to catch a car ferry to Ireland for her Dublin O2 gig… all land and sea transport being used to the full.  And the airlines losing millions of pounds each day with their planes waiting for the all clear to fly again.

The Icelandic volcano Eyjafjallajökull has a lot to answer for – a natural occurring crisis affecting Europe, yes a volcano – it seems surreal.

I wonder how many of us have been on a fantastic holiday and imagined how wonderful it would be to find ourselves without the choice of returning home for another week or so.  Maybe it’s just me?  Of course the novelty of the situation would soon wear off as the reality of restricted freedom kicked in.

Often in life, so many of us choose the easy option – the one which feels easy, makes the most sense.  I guess some people are ‘allowing’ this crisis to happen to them – victims of circumstance – feeling powerless and stuck where they are unhappily outside of their comfort zone.   They will be getting used to living a different life for a week or so ‘making the best of it’, their personal world shaping up differently, waiting for some news of how they will be getting back home.

When the chips are down and there is no easy solution to the challenges, isn’t it amazing how others will look for another way of finding their way home?  The determination and desire to be back on home soil with loved ones – or work is immense.

Stepping into their adventure zone, weighing up options, looking for alternative accommodation, checking out various ways to catch cross country trains and getting to ferries.  I know many travellers have run out of money and the trains and ferries are booked up – I read of stories of people grouping together to then look into hiring coaches and cars which are now extortionately priced because of greed and scarcity.

Everyone will have a different story to tell of their adventures.  Everyone will have had their comfort zones stretched in one way and another.   Every situation will be drawing on each person’s inner resources and courage.  I hope this situation is soon improved so everyone can happily get to where they want to be – my heart goes out to them.

If you used the power of your determination to achieve your tasks, how would things be different?  How often do you go the extra mile?  If you had to be somewhere would you travel all night in a taxi (if you had the money and the taxi available) would you do it?  How far is too far?  When you’re looking for a job how far will you travel?  How about a new home, a night out, a trip to see something interesting?  What restrictions do you put on yourself?  What are these restrictions costing you in choice and adventure?  How much more fun, fulfilled, fabulous would your life be if you allowed yourself some additional freedom?  How much courage would you need to find?  Not much I bet, it just takes a decision.  When are you going to get out of your own way?

I work with women who have decided enough is enough.  They are fed up with the frustrations of their life and want to fast track to fabulous.  I work with them to raise their self esteem, master their psychology so they can begin to speak their truth with courage and live a happier life they never dreamt possible.  Can you relate to this?  Would you like to know more?  Message me below or email me in confidence ali@daringdamsels.com I’m so looking forward to hearing from you.

A Daring Damsels story

My own personal journey has taken me down some sunny, and down some dark roads in my life.

We’ve all been there haven’t we?  I reached a point some years ago where I realised that my self esteem was holding me back – big time!

And that if things were going to change, I needed to change.

After a lot of personal reflection, attending a lot of seminars, presentations, coaching sessions, joining personal development groups, reading books, using my car as my classroom – by listening to top leaders in the personal development world and watching their dvds – I realised that from what I’d been learning and putting into practice, a massive shift was being made! I was getting on top finally and the view was stunning!  Having always been someone who likes to help others, I wanted to share this knowledge and experience with others.

I retrained and qualified as a Life Coach Practitioner, NLP Practitioner, and Practitioner of Time Line Therapy™ and Hypnosis. I set up my company – Daring Damsels.

It’s been an exciting journey so far and I’m so happy to be supporting clients to live their life the way they truly want!  Sometimes we just get ‘stuck’ don’t we?  Can’t see the wood for the trees?  I remember thinking ‘There must be more to life than this.’ Sometimes we forget how truly fabulous we really are.

As a life coach I specialise in empowering women to feel fabulous!  And being honest who doesn’t want to feel fabulous?  I can tell you that I now feel feminine and fabulous!

I do this through one to one coaching (via telephone/Skype/in person), coaching groups (online), mentoring, local workshops and soon I’m taking my workshops into companies.  I’m in the process of writing a home study course, as well as introducing a national membership programme to support members to keep on track and feel inspired when the journey is not so easy.

If you or any ladies you know are suffering with low self esteem or feeling ‘stuck’ in life please let me know!  I can help!  Let me support you to feel fabulous by shine the light on the path ahead, so you can see your way forward with certainty, belief and excitement.  Send me a comment, an email at ali@daringdamsels.com and please visit my web site www.daringdamsels.com  Life is suppose to be FUN and FABULOUS lets make it so! :) xx
