I heard a stoy on the radio yesterday, or a group of (i think 14 year olds) girls who went to the rescue of a 7 year old girl who had fallen through the ice of a pond, and had just been rescued by her uncle i think. They rushed over and each donated jumpers / other clothing to quickly warm the girl and possibly save her life. They said "it was just a natural reaction, but it was strange that other people either just watched or even walked away". I think we are so fortunate to have the skills now to help other people to "go the extra mile", to "find the strength to keep going". And I love the posts Ali - they always get me to stop for a moment, and think...
