Sabotaging Your Path To Happiness And Success?

Posted in Goal Setting, happiness, Personal Development, Setting up a business.

How often have you found yourself with an idea or a plan which you know will take you towards your goal in a big way.  As the plan starts to unfold, perhaps it takes you into unfamiliar territory.  And a familiar inner-voice begins to talk to you.  Do you know the one I’m talking about?  The one that says ‘I can’t do it’, ‘how can I?’, ‘I don’t know how to…’

For many of us, it seems easier to allow ourselves to become consumed with self doubt and negative self talk.  It feels so much easier and more comfortable to shrink the dream, play small and hold back.

And yet, the idea was like a freshly planted seed, full of potential – filled with goodness destined to grow to become something special.  Just as you are here to be the best ‘you’ that you can be – let me tell you, you are here for greatness.

If you recognise this self sabotaging pattern, the one that creates the stomach churning feelings, then I’d like to ask you something.  How long will you hold yourself back from the happiness and success which is within your reach?

Come on girl friend!  It’s time to dig deep.  It’s time to take the plunge, the clock is ticking and your life isn’t waiting.   Give your ideas – your little seeds, some love and nurture them into seedlings every day, allowing them to flourish.

Take a little courage and know that you don’t have to do it all alone.  There are experts, mentors and friends who can support you to grow tall.  And there is sunshine where you least expect it!  And you don’t have to do it all at once – just take a step in the direction of your big vision every day.  Imagine, how you will feel when you’ve taken that step, pushed your comfort zone a bit bigger – what more you could become now?  I believe you’ve not even scratched the surface of what you could achieve.  The best is yet to come.  Happiness and success are right there – it’s time to go for it!

Today is the last day of January 2013! Can you believe it?  Time really does seem to fly by doesn’t it? Has January, been action packed for you too?

Mine began with creating and delivery my first ever teleclass – something a few years ago, I felt just too scared to commit to.  And as with most things we fear, it wasn’t so scary at all and in fact it was a lot of fun and well received!  Thank you to all of you who signed up for the free Wow With Workshops call!

And the group of ladies who have joined me on Creating Divine Workshops, the 5 part series are all moving forward creating their events – so very exciting!   Where is fear, stopping you from accelerating forward in your life or business?

Fab Friends members raised more money in January for our sponsor child Maria who lives in Kenya, at The Happy House.  Laurie Spicer, of Gold Matters bought our old precious metal jewellery and the ‘hostess’ commission was sent over to The Children of Watamu!

And I was thrilled beyond belief to be taking 3 of my Divine Goddess Mentoring clients for Afternoon Tea at The Ritz! Such a treat, such a glorious day and in the perfect venue for our meeting!  Imagined it was January 2014 already and we shared what we achieved in 2013 – as if it had already happened.  So much magic was created, so many giggles and just the perfect high vibration environment to create powerful desires!  When was the last time you treated yourself to something special?

January 2013, Fab Friends Network – our theme is:  “What’s Your Money Story?”

Groups in High Wycombe, Basingstoke, Truro and Lichfield

What’s your money story?  Are you living in financial abundance right now?  Was there a time when you thought you’d have more money in the bank by now?

Some of us look at our bank balance and feel content – and some of us however, may feel that there is never enough.  Are you ready to invite more in – or are you unconsciously pushing it away?  If you had more money, how would you choose to use it?

In our January sessions, we’ll be uncovering our beliefs around money, considering any changes we want to make around those beliefs, looking at how we can attract more and what difference this will mean to us, our family and the greater good.

Join us for another lively morning of insight, discussion, celebration, collaboration and fun.  Are you ready to make 2013 your best year yet?  Surrounding yourself with an inspiring peer group of positive friends will not only support you to be the best version of you – you may also find business alliance partners too!

If you’d like to be on our guest list, your first visit will be complimentary, just message me to be included on our guest list at any of our meetings – ali@fabfriendsnetwork.com.

Find out more by visiting our website www.fabfriendsnetwork.com and finding your nearest meeting.

My Reflective Review of 2012

Posted in happiness, Life Challenges, Perfect Days, Personal Development, Setting up a business.

As the last few days of 2012 trickle away, I’m left with a warm and happy feeling.  It’s been a great year!  And I have so much to be grateful for.

2012 has been a transformational year for me, my family, my business and my home.  I’ve had the fortune of travelling to Marrakech, France and Cyprus as well as some beautiful places here in the UK.

With Andrew in Marrakech March 2012 after a hot air balloon ride!

When I think about my personal success and my business success, they seem to hold hands quite tightly – I guess it’s because I love what I do.  It’s not so much a job as a calling.

This year one of my biggest learnings has to be that ‘fear’ when doing something new, is really just ‘excitement’.  The resistance I have felt to stepping up, taking a leap in a new direction, playing bigger has been strong – and it’s all fear based, I guess of not achieving, things not working out and I’ve felt it on a physical level many times.

I’ve had to learn to play bigger, create a bigger vision and take bigger steps and above all to trust more.  Trust that everything is unfolding the way it is meant to, trust in myself, my skills and calling –  and to remember to breath.  As we move into 2013, I know that these feelings will come regularly, I’m up-levelling, on a heart felt mission and I’ll just know that these fears are part of the process of self growth, like growing pains and – as Susan Jeffers said “Feel The Fear And Do It Anyway”.  The more I do this, the quicker I am to realise what’s happening and to release the fear.  If you believe in something, want to achieve something, never give up and don’t delay.

I’ve been so delighted to have been working with my mentor Carly Hope during 2012.  Sometimes we just need someone else to help us to think outside of the box, don’t we?  We can get too close and not see what’s in front of us and working with Carly has supported me to not only see my vision more clearly but to expand it.  So thank you Carly!  And thank you to Kate Gerry, the fabulous online Business Manager – who’s helped me to get processes in place, got my files ‘in the cloud’, found and recruited for me my perfect Virtual Assistant – VA Sharon (who’s completely amazing). It’s all made a huge difference to how I work.  I’m so grateful to you all.

Some of the highlights of the year have been working with some incredible clients though Fab Friends Network, my personal coaching and mentoring groups – the Butterfly Circle and introducing this summer a new business mentoring group Divine Inner Circle.  Working with individual clients and creating very special transformational VIP days with them.  All of these exceptional women have been committed to making changes and it’s been a joy to watch them grow, take inspired action and choose their vision for themselves.

Many of our High Wycombe Fab Friends Network Members

In the spring I was busy working on the licence for Fab Friends Network, writing the documentation and the manual.  It was a long process and I was so grateful to my partner Andrew for supporting me and helping me with lots of the details!  I’ve discovered this year, I’m a big picture person!

With Helen Boss, Leader of Truro Fab Friends Network

And after the Jubilee weekend, I offered the opportunity on Facebook to invest in a Fab Friends Network licence – it felt like a huge leap of faith to put it out there and I was thrilled when I received a huge response!

Dawn Petherick, at the launch of Lichfield Fab Friends Network

And the two successful leaders came forward – Helen in Truro and Dawn in Lichfield – both inspiring women who quickly established their new groups.  Attending their launches was moving for me. The dream and the vision for this community that I had, was now bigger than me and was reaching out and holding hands with others across the country… just as I’d seen in my dream.  It was an honour to be part of it all.

In the summer I was surprised and equally thrilled to have been nominated Women’s Advocate / Role Model in the Women Inspiring

Women National Awards in Birmingham.  And I was lost for words when my name was announced as the award winner on the night!  Wow!  I stumbled through my acceptance speech and my award now sits very proudly at home!

The local paper picked up my story too!

In October I took 7 gorgeous clients over to the south of France to Chateau Ventenac an absolutely stunning old house, owned by my good friend Julia Bristow.

This was the first retreat that I have run – and again, another leap for me!  Each of the clients who joined us brought something very special to the retreat – themselves!  During the course of the week it was wonderful to see each participant just relax, unwind, have time to do some of the reflecting and planning that they’d wanted to have time to do.  Everyone looked different, seemed different when we left.  It was magical and I look forward to running another retreat in 2013.

And my eldest daughter Becky celebrated her 20th birthday this year!  She’s established herself as a successful photographer capturing weddings and portraits – plus she’s a test shooter for Models 1, Europes leading modelling agency and commissioned by Harvey Nichols for a shoot of installations in their Knightsbridge store.  So proud of her!  Well done Becky Rui!

Anna my youngest daughter started Uni at Worcester in September – a big step up for her moving out, being totally independent - and she took it all in her stride.  She’s enjoying Uni and the social whirl that goes with it!  And it’s much quieter at home – and tidier too!  ;)

My gorgeous daughters Becky and Anna

So a really big thank you to Andrew my partner, my family, friends and very special clients for making 2012 a year to remember with great fondness and joy!  Bring on 2013!!!  What magical and miracles await us all?  Let’s find out!

You’re Invited To Wow With Workshops – Free Teleclass

Posted in Life Challenges, Personal Development, Setting up a business.

When I think back to 2009, I remember the burning passion and desire to make a difference in the world – I had newly qualified as a coach and I was wondering where all my clients were.  Have you ever experienced this in your business?

The business cards were printed and the letter headed paper plus the bank-balance-busting website was up… and the phone wasn’t ringing.  I was ready – but was the world ready for me?

It’s funny now when I look back, although at the time it really wasn’t.  Some days I felt frustrated and other days I’d be focused on finding ways to market myself.

With my knees knocking, I decided that I would get a group of ladies together and run a workshop.  With a massive fear of public speaking and never ever done anything like this before, it was a big step up for me at that time.  I had a massive list of questions – Can I really do this?  How do I attract attendees?  When and where could I hold a workshop?  What’s the best day of the week and what times?  What can I charge?  All the ‘what if’s’ were creeping in… What if, I couldn’t get anyone to attend?  What if, I didn’t know enough?  What if, I was heckled!! What if… blah blah…

And of course, I made a lot of mistakes – along the way – but those first workshops happened and to be honest, I’ve not looked back!  Now I run at least 2 ‘workshop’ type events each month – live events – that attract amazing clients.  And I’ve grown as a person through stepping through my fears – plus my business has gone from strength to strength too! I feel blessed and privileged to mentor my clients, who are building exciting businesses of their own.

Where do you need to step up in your business?  What would you like to achieve in 2013?  Who would you love to attract – and how would you like to work with them?

I’m delighted to invite you to a free teleclass on Tuesday 8th January at 8pm (GMT) where I will be giving you the inside scoop on running Workshops that will raise your visibility as an expert in your field, transform your business, and make you PROFIT!  Come on, it’s time monetise your passions and your gifts!  You can find out more and sign up for this free call here:  http://www.alisoleil.com/wowwithworkshops and I can’t wait for you to join me on the call!

YOU Are Enough

When I got onto the plane to return home last week from Cyprus, it crossed my mind that I had no idea how a plane really flies – I only have a rough idea.

To get home, I buy my ticket, get onto the plane, but I don’t have to know the ins and outs of aviation, I don’t have to do all the research – all I have to do, is show up, trust and sit back.

Where are you delaying your flight?

What were your burning ambitions at the beginning of the year?  Those things you wanted to achieve become or do? How did you get on with those? If you’ve manifested those things – well done! And if you’ve still to make them happen – ask yourself “what’s been stopping me?”

Have you noticed, sometimes in life, we seem to put on our own breaks don’t we? We seem to be waiting for something to happen. Sometimes we feel we still need to know or learn something before we can steam ahead. Many of us feel the need to research just a little more, do another course, read another book, plan just a bit further – or worse talk ourselves out of what we wanted and put the dream on the back burner.

Obviously, we can’t just fly the plane until we’ve learned and passed our test etc – but if we have a desire to create something for ourselves, we need to decide what that is – and focus on solutions to making it happen – now. Trust and take a leap of faith in ourselves.

And I want you to know, that YOU are ENOUGH now, it’s time. Time to just go for it and make the end of the year Sparkle!

Making Space For Inspired Thought

Posted in happiness, Perfect Days, Setting up a business.

Sometimes, you just need to stop, put down the ‘to do list’, step back and press the ‘snooze’ button don’t you agree?  When our minds are cluttered with the ‘to do’ activities, it doesn’t leave much room for the inspired thought to flow – and so I took a glorious restful week off and enjoyed the delights of Cyprus!

Have you hit the snooze button and been away this year?

The hotel my partner chose (www.elysium-hotel.com) was just beautiful, the pina colada’s slipped down a treat and the walls of the hotel were covered in goddess murals and pictures… what more could a girl want?  Oh a massage – and I enjoyed that too!

This special time away, not only gave me time to relax, it gave me time to be and not do.  Something I value highly.  I’ve come back full of inspired ideas and ways to serve more fabulous ladies to achieve what they love to do! I’ll be sharing more about that in coming months.

How’s Your Work / Life Balance?

Posted in Life Challenges, Perfect Days, Setting up a business.

When was the last time you stopped to ‘smell the roses’?  For many of us we’re so busy being busy, juggling roles of mum, wife, sister, daughter, entrepreneur, business worker, not to mention being the food shopper, cleaner, cook, taxi driver, nurse…  For those of us with a business, often we created this so we’d be able to choose the hours we work around the various roles we play – and sometimes this doesn’t seem to happen does it?

Over the last few months I’ve realised the importance of building my business around my time.  So that my business – isn’t busi-ness but productive and fun!  When was the last time you considered how many hours you find yourself working – and which of those hours completely productive?  Would you like more time for you to be doing the things you love?

If this resonates with you, let me share how you could enjoy more time next year!

  • Block out your 2013 holidays on a planner as you may have when were employed – so these are set – and non negotiable.
  • Choose how many hours you wish to work each week – and block out your time for ‘doing what you love’ time.
  • Use online calendar such as google’s calendar – it’s free, easy and you can colour code the various activities – such as appointments as well as ‘me time’.  This can sync automatically to your android mobile phone. You can even share it with others.
  • Consider finding a Virtual Assistant who could complete some of the tasks you don’t enjoy and waste time trying to figure out!

If you’re like me, you’ll value time and freedom too – by honouring these values, it gives me time to re-charge so that I can serve my clients even more.  And you already know – I love my clients!
